The Substitute Teachers Caucus advocates within the NEA for organizing substitutes, for improving working conditions, for increasing respect and communication, and for promoting quality public education. We speak up for the substitute members who are represented in local associations in at least fourteen states and for the inclusion of contract language supporting regular classroom teachers by preventing the misuse of substitute teachers.
